• 1-1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
• 1-1/2 cups whole milk
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries, mashed
• 3 to 4 drops red food coloring, optional
• Optional: whipped cream and additional fresh sliced strawberries
